Hello Baby 3D Prints
A service that converts ultrasounds into 3D prints for expectant moms.
With this amazing product, expectant mothers and families no longer have to wait the entire duration of the pregnancy to meet their little one. Mothers obtain a 3D/4D scan between 22-28 weeks when there is still enough space in the womb to see their baby’s face. Mothers might even be lucky enough to have 3D print of their baby a yawning or sucking their thumb whilst in the womb.
M&W identified an inefficiency that when expectant moms go for a 4D scan they leave with only a 2D still image. The 3D data was then discarded. A 3D print of the ultrasound would provide a more discernable image of the baby which would then last for decades to come. The experience of the 4D scan is literally brought to life with a 3D print.
M&W created an algorithm that allows for ultrasound files to be converted into 3D files. A service, Hello Baby 3D Prints, was launched and offers a framed 3D print of an ultrasound. The algorithm is the first of its kind in Africa.

"So amazing how combining science and technology can make such an amazing difference and allow one to hold on to such amazing memories."
"I think the 3D scan is the one most parents look forward to the most as it gets ‘real’ for the daddies, and you can argue about who the baby looks like most."
"I would love a 3D print of my beautiful son that was born sleeping as the only photos we have of him are the doctor’s scans. This is such a beautiful idea."
